Cabbage Moor Koottu

Ingredients

  • Cabbage, shredded – 500gm
  • Sour Curd, beaten – 2cup
  • Green Chili – 4~6nos (adjust to your spice level)
  • Rice Flour – 1tbsp
  • Coconut, grated – 1cup
  • Coconut oil – 1tbsp
  • Mustard – 1tsp
  • Salt – 1tsp (adjust to your taste)
  • Fresh Curry leaves – 1bunch
  • Asafoetida – 1pinch

Method

  • Boil little water in a pan
  • Add cabbage, salt, close cook for 10min
  • Meanwhile, grind green chili, coconut, rice flour along with little curd into a fine paste
  • Once cabbage becomes tender, add the above paste, mix well
  • Add rest of curd
  • Add water only if required
  • Bring to a boil
  • Heat coconut oil in a pan
  • Add mustard and allow it to splutter
  • Add curry leaves, asafoetida, fry a little
  • Pour the tadka into moor koottu, mix well
  • Serve hot along with rice
