Spicy Sweet Potato Tawa Roast

Ingredients

  • Sweet Potato, cut in circular shape – 500gm
  • Red Chili powder – 1tsp (adjust to your spice level)
  • Coriander powder – 1tsp
  • Jeera powder – 1tsp
  • Corn flour – 2tbsp
  • Sesame oil – 2tbsp
  • Mustard – 1tsp
  • Asafoetida – 1pinch
  • Fresh Curry leaves – 1bunch
  • Salt – 1tsp (adjust to your taste)

Method

  • Steam the cut sweet potato until soft
  • Mix red chili powder, coriander powder, jeera powder, half of oil
  • Coat the masala mix well over sweet potato
  • Rest it for about 10min
  • Heat rest of oil in a pan
  • Add mustard, allow it to crackle
  • Add curry leaves, asafoetida fry a little
  • Add rested sweet potato, fry well carefully without breaking the sweet potato
  • Serve hot along rice – I like to it eatthis along with curd rice – best combo
